Police suspect man who hit Saldana's car may have been intoxicated

El Paso, TX (KDBC) — El Paso Police have identified Crystal Saldana as the 15th traffic fatality victim in El Paso. A crew spoke with her family and confirmed. According to her Facebook page, Saldana attended UTEP and worked at K-Mart.
Previous Story: El Paso police say a man has been charged following a deadly crash that killed a young woman in Far East El Paso early Saturday morning.
Investigators said 27-year-old Brian A. Gamero was driving a PT Cruiser south on Zaragoza Road near Vista Del Sol Drive around 2:20 a.m. when he rear-ended a Mazda.
Police said the collision forced the Mazda into the northbound lanes of Zaragoza and into the path of a Ford F-150.
The woman driving the Mazda, 22-year-old Crystal Saldana, died at the hospital, according to investigators.
The driver of the F-150, identified as 54-year-old Armand Carbajal, was also hospitalized.
Gamero was placed under arrest and charged with intoxicated manslaughter.
Police said additional charges are pending.
