El Paso, TX (KTSM) — A pair of former UTEP players might be headed to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Nolan Richardson and Tim Hardaway are finalists for the 2014 class that will be announced Monday.
Richardson graduated from Bowie High School, and won a National Championship as Head Coach for Arkansas in 1994.
Hardaway was a 2000 Olympic Gold Medalist, and spent 13 seasons in the NBA. He is best known for the "UTEP - 2-Step."
Both played for legendary Coach Haskins, and both have had their Miners' jerseys retired and are hanging in the rafters of the Don Haskins Center.
