EL PASO — Two separate accidents happened three blocks apart along Resler in West El Paso early this morning.
The first, a car crashes into a light pole at Resler and Tierra Taos at about 7a.m. Sunday morning. El Paso Electric says 1200 customers lost power. EP Electric crews worked to repair the utility pole and restore power.
And an hour before that, a car loses control and knocks down a brick wall on the front front yard of a house on Resler and Night Hawk at about 6a.m. Sunday morning. The owner of the home says, even though the accidents are not related, they happen often.
"Well actually I think the police should take some action from this. I think we should have more surveillance in the neighborhood. Particularly on the weekends is when people gotta speed all day long," said neighbor Daniel Capistran.
Capistran says he doesn't feel safe letting his children ride their bikes in that area because of how fast the cars drive by.
