It looks like Twinkies and Ding Dongs may return to store shelves soon.
Hostess brands has announced that buyout firms Apollo Global Management, LLC and Metropoulous & CO. have agreed to purchase the Hostess and Dolly Madison cake brands including Twinkies!
The proposed transaction includes the brands five bakeries and equipment for $410M.
The company will ask the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to approve the transaction at a hearing on March 19.
