Today Marks 71st Anniversary of Attacks on Pearl Harbor

Friday, December 7th marks the 71st anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. More than 2,000 american servicemen died during the bombing raid in which President Franklin Delano Roosevelt called "A date which will live in infamy." The attack drew the United States into WWII. Hundreds of ships and aircraft were sunk or badly damaged, including the battleship USS Arizona which lost more than 1,100 crewmen on December 7th, 1941. More than 2,000 people are expected at Pearl Harbor for a ceremony there on Friday morning.
