Three arrested for alleged DWI in one hour Tuesday morning

Three El Paso men were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol within a one hour period early Tuesday morning.

The first arrest came at 2:43 a.m. when police allege that 28-year-old Christopher Gonzalez was speeding and ran through a light at the intersection of Mesa and Mesita. EPPD Officers were able to stop Gonzalez in the 100 block of Castellano and also found that he had cocaine in his possession. He was charged with DWI with a blood alcohol level above .15 and possession of a controlled substance under one gram. His bonds totaled $3,250

The second incident happed at 3:15 a.m. in the 6400 block of N. Mesa where EPPD officers allege that Antonio Herrera, 30, was stopped in the middle of Mesa. EPPD Officers approached Herrera's car and found him to be allegedly intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, his bond was set at $600.

The final arrest occurred at 3:44 a.m. in the 2200 block of N. Mesa where officers responded to a call of a man down behind the wheel. EPPD officers determined that 22-year-old Paul Enriquez was intoxicated while behind the wheel. They also allegedly discovered marijuana in Enriquez' car and charged Enriquez with DWI with a blood alcohol level above .15 and Possession of Marijuana under two ounces. Enriquez' bonds totaled $1,300.
