El Paso, TX (KDBC) — It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Downtown El Paso. Thousands of people lined the streets of Downtown Saturday night for the 78th annual Celebration of lights.
This year's ceremony was held at Cleveland Square since San Jacinto Plaza, where the tree lighting is usually held, is under construction.
The festivities included performances by the First Armored Division Band from Fort Bliss and the St. Anthony's Seminary Franciscoanos Choir.
Mayor Oscar Leezer helped light the tree.
