Texan files complaint against the El Paso Medical Office

Monday, March 25, 2013 - 8:27am

An Austin-based man filed a formal complaint with Texas Medical Examiner's office regarding El Paso County's choice for the newest Medical Examiner, Dr. Khalid Jaber.

David Fisher is the same man who unveiled problems with the former Medical Examiner's resume. Fisher filed a formal complaint which unveiled Dr. Paul Shrode had lied on his resume.

According to US and Federal law, a Medical Examiner is a judiciary position meaning, any candidate who fills the position has to be a US citizen. Dr. Jaber is currently in Ireland and has worked in the US before.

El Paso's medical examiner office as well as the County Commissioner's office were not open by the time this article was published.
