EL PASO- Strong winds kept the Borderland hunkered down for most of Sunday. Wind speeds topped the 70 and 80 mph zones in Las Cruces and El Paso. The howling wind and the scratch of pelting sand, that was the sound mostly heard by El Pasoans on Sunday as a powerful storm moved through the Borderland.
The day after, a calmer and clearer day. residents are cleaning up.
