According to new statistics released by the Office of Refugee Resettlement, there is a spike in parents from Mexico trying to sneak their children into the United States.
In 2013, the reports states federal agents found more than 24,600 children who were being illegally smuggled across the border. That’s nearly double the number from 2012 and nearly quadruples numbers from year's past.
It's unclear what's driving the increase.
