Baton Rouge, L.A. — While most children are asking Santa for Barbies and video games this Christmas, one Louisiana child was just hoping to see his army dad home for the holiday.
For the past six months, the boy's dad has been training for the military in Hawaii and the boy hasn't seen him since.
But luckily, Santa granted the boy's christmas wishes this year, and they came true.
"He was shocked and he was like, 'Is that him? Or another Skype?' He didn't know what to believe, how to react. But we'll have a lot of fun the rest of the time I am here," said Shamory Gipson, the boy's father.
The Gipson family says they plan to spend every minute of the holiday together, and the young boy and his dad are already planning out their time together a well.
