Thursday, July 26, 2012 - 21:51

EL PASO - Sun Metro will continue the detour of six bus routes along Alameda because of traffic congestion.

The routes will only be affected on buses going east.

To address the two-mile service gap on Alameda between Piedras and Raynolds, Sun Metro is offering a free shuttle service from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Before 6 a.m. and after 6 p.m. buses will run the regular route.
There will be NO service from UMC to Fox Plaza along Alameda.

The free service will be provided using Sun Metro's smaller vehicles typically used by the paratransit service. The buses will operate approximately every 10 minutes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The service will begin on Alameda near Piedras at the bus stop located on the southwest corner of the intersection.
The service will travel east on Alameda, turn left onto Boll, right onto Alberta, right onto the Raynolds service road onto Raynolds/Val Verde, left onto Paisano, right onto Concepcion, right onto Blanco, right onto Val Verde, left onto Paisano, right onto Piedras, left onto Poplar, and right onto Myrtle/Alameda to begin the loop again.
