Monday, June 24, 2013 - 8:40pm

Firefighters are experiencing high winds and hot and dry conditions in the Gila National Forest as they battle the massive Silver fire.

The fire has charred more than 76,000 acres with most fire activity in the Northeast.

Since yesterday, it has grown more than 6,000 acres.

Yesterday crews continued to mop-up around the Kingston area. A red flag warning was in place again today for hot, dry and windy conditions.

Lightning started the blaze on June 7th.

Local Four's, Juan Gutierrez, is in Kingston today, speaking to some of the residents who have returned to their homes.

Make sure to join us for that story tonight at 10pm.
