Secretary of State to visit South Korea

Thursday, April 11, 2013 - 11:29pm

Secretary of State John Kerry is on his way to South Korea.

He will also visit China and Japan, and it is likely while he is in the region, North Korea will carry out its missile test.

"He will send a strong message to North Korea: 'You need to talk to South Korean government first, and then you can talk to us'," said Lim Eul Chul, an expert on North Korea.

North Korea is in the process of holding a series of parades and national celebrations.

It was one year ago today that Kim Jong Un came to power. Since then, he has proven to be far more reckless than his father, according to experts. Analysts say, he's trying to prove himself to his generals.
