Second Las Cruces car burglary suspect arrested

Las Cruces Police arrested a second man in connection with several car break-ins in Las Cruces last Wednesday.

Martin Carbajal, 19, turned himself into LCPD Monday afternoon in connection with the burglary, after his alleged accomplice, 20-year-old Sergio Galvan was caught by police just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9.

LCPD were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the 2100 block of Rosedale on April 9, when they arrived officers were able to locate Galvan, but Carbajal had allegedly fled the area on foot.

Carbajal was arrested and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center on two counts of auto burglary, two counts of conspiracy and two counts of larceny. He was being held on $10,000 cash bond.
