School district opposes hospital clinics

CANUTILLO, TX — University Medical Center wants to build several outpatient clinics throughout the area, but not everyone is supporting the plan. Monday night the Canutillo Independent School District's Board of Trustees passed a resolution opposing the sale of those bonds. The board says it agrees there is a need for better access to health care, but says the tax increase should first be approved by voters.
