El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Borderland seniors are extra warm and toasty this holiday season thanks to El Pasoans’ generosity.
Home Instead's Santa to a Senior has wrapped up. And their staff is now delivering the gifts of blankets, socks, and even dog treats to seniors who are in need.
one senior says his new blanket will keep him warm and also lower his utility costs. "I like to put it on my legs here when I'm here. Even though the house is pretty warm there... You know, I'm usually pretty comfortable in here. But, I have little special heaters like the one that's over there. And they're both on the fritz so I rely on the furnace and of course it runs the bills way up,” James Greenway, a West El Pasoan who received a gift through the Santa to a Senior program.
Home Instead says thanks to borderland residents generosity they were able to provide more than one gift to some seniors.
