(CNN) — Texas Governor Rick Perry will be in San Antonio Monday to announce what is ahead in his political career.
The Republican governor is not ready to reveal details, but said he is not ruling out another run for the White House in 2016.
Perry is expected to announce whether he will seek re-election to a fourth full term as Governor, or another bid for the GOP presidential nomination.
The former presidential candidate initially planned to announce his plans by the end of June, but delayed his decision to try once again to pass a controversial bill that would ban most abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
The bill was derailed by a filibuster last month by Democratic Senator Wendy Davis.
The Texas Legislature will meet Monday to resume the special session to discuss the abortion measure.
