EL PASO — The El Paso County Sheriff's Office issued nearly 150 citations during their DWI Enforcement Wave from December 21 - January 1. In addition, 11 people were arrested for driving while intoxicated.
The operation was funded by a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation.
The focus of the operation was to reduce the number of alcohol-related crashes during the holiday season.

- 25 Non-Hazardous Citations
- 13 Hazardous Citations
- 88 Calls for Service
- 3 Vehicle Impounds
- 2 Class "C" Citations
