The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department (ESD) is pleased to announce that mulch made of recycled fresh cut Christmas trees is now available.

ESD residential customers who show a current water bill and I.D. can pick up the pine scented mulch for free at any of the department's five Citizen Collection Stations.

1034 Pendale (East)

4200 Delta (South)

121 Atlantic (West)

4501 Hondo Pass (Northeast)

2492 Harrison (Central)

The stations have been accepting fresh trees for recycling since December 26, and continue to do so, as long as the trees have not dried and turned brown, and are free of decorations.

There are no limits on the amount of mulch customers may take with them.

In addition, the stations are accepting Christmas trees from those living on Fort Bliss.

ESD Citizen Collection Stations, which also accept household trash, recycling and used electronics, are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
