Washington, DC — The Federal Aviation Administration suspended departures at Reagan National Airport (DCA) this morning to facilitate law enforcement aircraft responding to a shooting incident at the Washington Navy Yard.
The FAA also implemented a ground stop for aircraft bound for DCA, but accepted arriving aircraft already in the air. Departures resumed just after 10 a.m. The FAA lifted the ground stop and is resuming normal operations.
