EL PASO — It's Christmas come early for the Center Against Family Violence. A local contractor lent them a helping hand.
El Paso Roofcare joined forces with Project Bravo, the local Kiwanis clubs and the Hub of Human Innovation to repair and patch up a leaky roof at the Center Against Family Violence's emergency center. It's all part of their launch for the Roof Angel project. It's designed to help some of the community's less fortunate, get much-needed roof repairs during the holiday season.
"Actually it was our idea. We thought it was a good way to give back to the community in the area. If all the contractors in the area did the same thing it'd be a better place," said William Lawson will El Paso Roofcare.
The Center Against Family Violence's Executive Director said she and her staff greatly appreciated the help.
"Non-profits often struggle to do the day to day maintenance that's required to keep our operations providing help to those families in need," said Karr.
The roof repair today saved the center $3800.
