EL PASO - Private golf courses in El Paso have seen memberships drop since the recession hit.
The manager at Vista Hills Country Club told NewsChannel 9 it's been tough.
They've opened up their course to the public, albeit temporarily, to try and stir up some business.
Nationally, more than 4 million fewer people play golf than in 2000.
But public courses in the Sun City seem to be doing okay despite the difficult times.
We asked why.
