El Paso - School budgets do not always cover every expense and that is where Price's Creameries comes in.
Today the company doled out more than $270,000 in grants to Borderland schools and non-profits as part of the Give 'Em Five fund.
Price's marketing manager Irene Pistella says customers and school children play a central role in raising the money...
"One is the collection of caps where the kids can collect the caps and take them back to the schools and we give them a nickel a cap long with the ice cream lid and the second portion of that is that if they're participating in the Give 'em Five, it allows them to submit for a grant."
That grant money may be used for school books and science and music equipment, whatever the school needs.
