El Paso, Texas (KDBC) — UPDATE: El Paso Electric Officials say that power has been restored in the area. The outage map is still indicating a power outage, but EPE says they typically leave this information up until they can verify that all customers in the area have been restored.
Over 2,200 customers in Northeast El Paso are without power at this hour.
The outage occurred at approximately 11:19 a.m. and is affecting the Sunrise Acres area in El Paso's Northeast side of town.
According to El Paso Electric, there are power lines down at 3500 block of Atlas. EPE crews have been dispatched to that area; it is also unknown how long the outage is expected to last.
Drivers should use caution when traveling through Gateway South at Fred Wilson, Gateway South at Dyer and Gateway South at Hercules.
