Pope's first Christmas as head of Catholic church

Pope Francis is celebrating Christmas for the first time as head of the Catholic church.

He delivered a message to more than 10,000 people who gathered in Saint Peter's Square.

It follows a Christmas eve mass the night before.

Today he prayed for people suffering from conflicts and natural disasters in a number of countries.
