EL PASO — Police were searching for a robber who threatened store employees and customers with a shotgun.
Police said the man walked into the Family Dollar on Alameda near El Paso Drive the afternoon of October 13.
He put a bag on the ground and pulled out a sawed-off shotgun.
The robber pointed the gun at a customer and in Spanish asked the clerk for the money in the register.
He got away with some cash.
"The suspect was wearing what witnesses described as a black cap with a 49er’s logo and white trim, a white shirt that had dark stripes, blue jeans and white tennis shoes,” said Darrel Petry with El Paso Police Department. “He was also carrying two bags. One is described as a black bag with stripes and the other is described as a camouflage bag.”
The robber was seen leaving in a blue or green Ford Windstar with sliding doors on both sides.
