Police search for burrito restaurant burglar

A man was caught on surveillance breaking into an east side restaurant and stealing money.

This happened on March 16 at the "Viva ay Que Rico" Burritos restaurant on Airport Rd.

Police say the suspect broke the glass on the front door to the business.

Once inside, police say the suspect began looking for cash.

"Once inside, he began to ransack the business and was actually searching for money," said Javier Sambrano with the El Paso Crime Stoppers. "The man actually even broke into the office of this business was able to locate a small amount of money used for the cash register and fled the scene."

Police don't know how much money the crook was able to get away with.

The suspect is described as a white or hispanice man with an average build.
