Passport Card Application Available Online

Most of us agree that carrying bulky passports around can get annoying. So, here's some good news from the U.S. State Deptartment.

They've launched a pilot program that allows American citizens in the U.S.and Canada to apply for a passport card online.

While you still need a valid passport to get a passport card, all you have to do is go to travel.state.gov, fill out the online forms, upload a digital picture of yourself and pay online.

You don't need all the extra paperwork that you need to apply for a passport.

The passport card can be used if you're traveling to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda.
