EL PASO — El Pasoans can adopt a pet this Labor Day holiday for a discount.
The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department and the Humane Society of El Paso will be offering discounted pet adoptions on Monday.
The adoptions are usually $100, but on Monday they're $60.
The fee includes spay/neuter services, microchip with registration, vaccinations and a rabies certificate.
"The hope is to re-home as many you know, unwanted animals with cost we can to save as many from animal services and reduce the euthanasia rate," said Michael Lausen with the Humane Society of El Paso.
Pet adoptions can be made at the city's animal shelter and the Humane Society of El Paso. Both are located on Fred Wilson near Marshall Road.
