Man suffers serious head injuries in motorcycle accident

According to El Paso police, a man was driving a Yamaha motorcycle on Dyer near Mesquite Hill Dr. when he lost control and crashed.  The man was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious head injuries. Police said he was not wearing a helmet.

He was taken to University Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

Investigators believe speed is a factor in the crash, but have not determined if alcohol is a factor.
The victim has not been identified.

Emergency dispatchers initially said two motorcycles were involved in the crash, but information released by the El Paso Police Department indicates only one motorcycle was involved.


El Paso police special traffic investigators are investigating a serious accident involving two motorcycles in Northeast El Paso.

Emergency responded to the crash on Dyer St. and Ohara Dr. shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday.

According to emergency dispatchers, two motorcycles collided, and one person was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

I work outside and see motorcycles all day. When one passes I say a little prayer for angels to protect them. Far too many people don't look for bikes and hit them which is unfortunate.
