El Paso, TX (KDBC) — El Paso police officers are searching for the driver responsible for crashing into a deputy patrol car overnight. The crash happened Wednesday around 2:45 a.m. on De Leon and Bel Mar in west El Paso. According to officers, a BMW crashed into an El Paso County Sheriff's Office patrol car that was parked in front of the deputy's house. NewsChannel 9 spoke with the deputy off camera who said the sound of the crash woke him up but when he went outside the driver was no where to be found.
