San Antonio, TX (KSAT) — A Texas judge did not rule on Wednesday, after hearing a case challenging the state's same-sex marriage ban.
He said he'd issue his decision later, but didn't say when. The Judge acknowledged, either way it may not matter, saying "This case will be decided by five people, and I'm not one of them," a reference to the Supreme Court.
Two couples brought the challenge, one who was legally married in another state. They say Texas' same-sex marriage ban is unconstitutional.
Just like for heterosexual couples, gay couples have the same issues. They have the same concerns. They should have the same rights, said Barry Chastnoff, the Plaintiff's Attorney.
This comes on the same day that a Federal Judge in Kentucky ruled same-sex marriages from other states must be recognized.
