New Mexico State University will be receiving money from the state for improvements on campus.

$3 million dollars will go toward renovations at Hardman Hall and Jacobs Hall.

Those buildings are heavily used by undergraduates for general education courses.

Voters in november approved a $19 million dollar bond for renovations in November.

University officials said they are currently gathering information on usage at those buildings to design renovations that will best fit current and future use.

A preliminary construction date is set for March of next year with scheduled completion by Fall 2015.
