NM Grant Money To Cover Some Storm Damage

LAS CRUCES - If you are a low-income resident in Las Cruces and your home suffered damage from the recent cold weather, you may be eligible to receive money from the government.

Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other local agencies will be provided to low and moderate income residents affected by the recent storm.

The grant has been limited to $2000 per household. Applications will be accepted no later than the end of the business day on March 18.

Governor Susana Martinez announced last week that she is seeking a federal disaster declaration so that federal funds can cover some of the damages.
