New UTEP center offers support for military-affiliated students

The University of Texas El Paso will open its new Military Student Success Center on campus Friday.

The Center is targeted at helping military-affiliated students get around campus, and get through college. It includes active duty soldiers, veterans and dependents.

It is a one-stop shop for information about education benefits, academic programs and will also include a satellite office at Fort Bliss.

GI Jobs magazine has ranked UTEP as a military school for three years in a row, and UTEP officials believe the center is proof of that.

The Military Student Success Center is located in room 205 of the University Library.
