Santa Fe, NM.- Hundreds of teachers from across the state gathered in Santa Fe to protest New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez's plans to change their professional evaluations. The governor has proposed that teacher evaluations be based at least 50 percent on student test scores. Organizers of the protest say school employees already deal with the stressful workload that testing creates. They say, under the governor's plan and things will only get worse. But spokesperson with the Public Education Department says most complaints like that are based on misinformation.
