EL PASO - There's a new fee today for tourists entering the U.S. Citizens of 36 different countries will now have to pay $14 to come and see the sites.
The State Department announced the fee yesterday, saying the money will be used to help promote tourism in America. Only countries that participate in the visa waiver program are affected.
The program allows people from countries like Britain and Japan to stay in the U.S. for 90 days without a visa. Mexico is not on that list and won't be affected.
