
EL PASO - Approval is expected on a new bike path system for El Paso.
The Texas Transportation Commission will vote on the $1.4 million project later today.
The money would pay for a bicycle path with signage and striping along Knights Drive from Midway to Yarbrough; Yarbrough from Loop 375 to Montwood and from Pebble Hills to Montana; Delta from Boone to North Loop; Boone from Delta to Paisano; Hunter from Viscount to North Loop; Trowbridge from North Loop to I-10; Trawood from Yarbrough to Montwood; Montwood from Trawood to Sunfire and Viscount from I-10 to Bellrose.
A similar bike path system will be voted on for Horizon City.
The Walk/Bike Path is proposed for the northern portion of the TxDOT right-of-way along Horizon Blvd. between Ashford and Rifton Streets at a cost of $1.2 million.
