Move over Samsung, Apple's iPhone screens are reportedly about to get a lot bigger. Suppliers in China will begin mass production on two new iPhones next month, according to Bloomberg.
The phones will have display screens that are 4-point-7 inches and 5-point-5 inches across. That is a big leap from the 4-inch displays currently on the iPhone 5s and 5c. Bloomberg reports the new iPhones will ship to retailers around September.
Apple may be trying to keep up with the competition. Rival smartphones, most notably from Samsung, have been packing ever-larger displays in recent years. If the rumors are true, the bigger iPhone would nearly match the screen size of Samsung's massive Galaxy Note 3. It has a pocket-busting 5-point-7-inch "Phablet" display.
