EAST EL PASO- Police responded to the 1200 block of Airway around 8 p.m. on Thursday night after a 2004 Ford Taurus driven by Cynthia Dominguez, 26, veered over the median and hit a 27-year-old motorcyclist Michael Paauwe head on.
The front of the Taurus impacted the Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle causing the motorcycle to get caught under the vehicle where the motorcycle caught fire. Paauwe was transported to University Medical Center where he died. Dominguez was transported to Del Sol Medical Center where she was treated and placed under arrest. She was later booked at the El Paso County Jail on a $100,000 bond on charges of intoxicated manslaughter.
