Fire crews are investigating a large house fire in Central El Paso.

The fire happened just at about midnight Monday the 2700 block of Memphis.

Nine fire trucks and 21 firefighters helped put the blaze out within ten minutes.

Fire officials say a mother and her daughter were inside of the home at the time of the fire. They were able to make it out without any injuries.

Battalion Chief Ed Snyder, who was on the scene, said, "The flames were coming from a door and two windows on the side of the house and it was quite a lot of fire and smoke coming from the residence."

We spoke with Jazz Masoud, a witness who saw the flames pouring out of the home. He said, "My neighbors were saying it was pretty intense, that the window out there had blown out and when I walked across the street to get a look at the house I saw flames maybe about three feet high.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
