Friday, March 2, 2012 - 10:58pm

EL PASO - Vroom, vroom!

They're back! Monster trucks are in town, and they're going to battle it out this weekend. You can watch the Grave Digger, Tasmanian Devil, El Toro Loco and other trucks go head to head at the Sun Bowl Saturday and Sunday.

The trucks will race and also do free-style moves.

"There's 18 of us, all in different cities this weekend. We're celebrating the 30th anniversary; bad to the bone for 30 years. We're going to rock El Paso this weekend,” said Carl Van Horn, a driver at the event.

"We've got 1,500 horsepower in these trucks. We're going to be...doing donuts; we're going to have racing; we're going to be crushing Cadillacs. It's fun for the entire family,” said Nicole Johnson, a driver at the event.

The Monster trucks will compete on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Sun Bowl, and on Sunday at 2 p.m.

You can get tickets through the UTEP ticket center, or through www.ticketmaster.com.
