EL PASO -- The annual Mexican Food Cook-off is expected to bring in thousands of people to it's new location at San Jacinto Plaza in Downtown El Paso Saturday evening.

16 restaurants and chefs are preparing their signature dishes all in hopes of being the best in El Paso.

The competition will be based on three different dishes.

Judges will choose the best tacos, enchiladas, and an open dish of the chef's choosing.

For vendors it's a great experience to showcase their food to so many people.

"The public has been very good to us and we want to give something back," said Roldan Chavez, owner of Avila's Restaurant.

On top of the food, there will also be mariachi bands performing throughout the night and folklorico dancers competing as well.
