EL PASO — A memorial mass will be held for Reverend Richard Andrew Matty on Tuesday evening at Saint Patrick's Cathedral, located at 1118 N. Mesa.
Hundreds of borderland residents have come together over the past week to mourn the loss of Father Matty who died of natural causes in his Chicago hotel room on July 16th.
He first came to El Paso in 1986, and was known for his dedication to working with immigrants.
Tuesday's memorial service will start at 7 p.m.
