El Paso- This evening those that knew and loved Father Richard Andrew Matty gathered for a memorial mass at Saint Patrick's Cathedral. Close friends of Father Richard Matty say he died in his hotel room in Chicago on July 16th. The Reverend is known for his dedication to working with immigrants. He first came to El Paso in 1986 and began helping hispanics seeking amnesty. He was just 57 years old.
