For the third straight year, Melbourne, Australia has been named the most livable city in the world, that's according to the Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Livability Survey.

The survey looks at 140 cities and ranks them based on stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure. Australian, New Zealand and Canadian cities took eight of the top 10 spots.

No U.S. city made the top ten.
