EL PASO - The trial of David Marmolejo is set to start October 1.
He went before a judge today as lawyers on both sides met to tie up loose ends.
The defense is awaiting results from a DNA expert but told the judge it would not interfere with the trial date.
Marmolejo is accused of strangling his mother Gloria and dumping her body in the Santa Teresa desert.//
