Michael McSwain, 29, is wanted on several charges, including two counts of aggravated assault on a public servant, and two counts of evading arrest.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, McSwain is originally from Houston and had two outstanding warrants for burglary and evading arrest.

El Paso Police officers reportedly approached McSwain at a gas station on Montana and Lee Trevino.  When they tried to arrest him for the outstanding warrants, McSwain allegedly got into a vehicle and drove away.

A police officer who was holding onto McSwain was reportedly dragged from the SUV.  The officer eventually let go after hitting a cement barrier from the gas pumps.

McSwain drove away and remains on the run.  He was driving a white Hyundai Santa Fe with Texas license plate # 513-STD.
