Man who died in west El Paso crash worked at United Blood Services

An Anthony, New Mexico man died after flying off his bike, Thursday morning.

The accident happened around 10 a.m., on I-10w exit ramp at Sunland Park.

Police said Jesse Valdez, 29, lost control of his bike, causing him to hit a guardrail.
The impact of the crash caused Valdez to fly off the bike.

According to police, he was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

The accident shut down the freeway for hours.

No word if speed is a factor in the crash as the investigation is ongoing.

Officials at United Blood Services said Valdez has worked for them 12 years, getting the job right out of high school. They said he started as a tele recruiter eventually moving up to lead recruiter.

Officials have opened a bank account for Valdez’s family. It is at GECU, account number 327571.
